If your Medisave balance is insufficient, immediate family members — your spouse, parents, or children — can contribute from their accounts. No. A denture or bridge will be fabricated approximately one week before your surgery date for you to wear during the healing period. This allows you to eat soft foods and smile comfortably while your implants integrate with the jawbone over 3 to 6 months. Once healing is confirmed, your custom-made fixed bridge is fabricated and fitted.

In many cases, yes. The All-on-4 technique uses angled posterior implants to maximise contact with your existing bone, which often eliminates the need for bone grafting. For patients with severe bone loss, zygomatic implants (which anchor into the cheekbone instead of the jaw) provide an alternative. With proper care, All-on-4 implants are built to last for many years. Without proper maintenance, complications such as peri-implantitis (inflammation around implants) can develop, so regular dental check-ups every 6 months are essential. The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia, with IV sedation available for patients with dental anxiety. You should feel no pain during surgery. Most patients take 3–5 days off work. Swelling and discomfort are at their peak during days 2–3 and diminish significantly by day 5.
