Implant Systems
Not all implant systems are created equal — and the system behind your crown is one of the most important clinical decisions in your treatment. We use European and Korean implant systems chosen for clinical precision, material integrity, and long-term reliability.

Our philosophy
The same implant system placed by two different hands can produce very different outcomes. At Vera Dental, we believe the implant system and the clinical technique behind it are inseparable — one cannot compensate for the absence of the other.
We choose implant systems based on what the clinical evidence supports for each patient's anatomy. We never default to the most expensive system to signal quality, nor the least expensive to save cost. Every recommendation begins with your 3D imaging and ends with a conversation about what your specific case requires.
An implant placed at the wrong angle, without adequate bone assessment, or without proper sterilisation protocol may fail — requiring removal, bone grafting, and reimplantation. At Vera Dental, every placement is guided by 3D imaging and meticulous technique. That is what built to last actually means.
Our four implant systems
We use four implant systems across two categories. Each is selected to give different patient profiles the best clinical foundation for long-term results.
Basel, Switzerland · Founded 1954 · ISO 13485
Straumann's Roxolid® alloy and SLActive® surface technology are clinically supported for enhanced osseointegration, particularly in challenging bone conditions and complex restorations. One of the most extensively researched implant systems in the world.
Learn about Straumann FrenchSallanches, France · Founded 1947 · Straumann Group · ISO 13485
Anthogyr's Axiom® system combines French precision engineering with Straumann Group's global R&D standards. Its conical connection and hydrophilic surface deliver strong osseointegration with excellent prosthetic flexibility.
Learn about Anthogyr KoreanSeoul, South Korea · Founded 1997 · CE / FDA / ISO 13485
The world's largest implant manufacturer by volume. Osstem's TS and SS systems have extensive clinical documentation across Asian populations. CE and FDA certified, with broad Medisave eligibility for Singapore patients.
Learn about Osstem KoreanSeoul, South Korea · Founded 2000 · CE / FDA / ISO 13485
Dentium's SuperLine and NR Line systems are well-established across Southeast Asia, with clinical research aligned to Asian bone density profiles. A reliable system for straightforward implant cases with strong prosthetic component support.
Learn about DentiumEuropean implant engineering brings decades of peer-reviewed clinical research, proprietary surface technologies, and the most extensively published bodies of evidence in implant dentistry.
Anthogyr's integration into the Straumann Group since 2012 is a particularly strong trust signal — it means shared research and development, global manufacturing oversight, and consistent quality standards across both brands.
European systems are recommended at Vera Dental for complex cases, patients with challenging bone anatomy, and those who specifically prioritise a long clinical heritage in their implant choice.
Roxolid® titanium-zirconia alloy. SLActive® hydrophilic surface. Clinically validated across narrow ridges, immediate placement, and complex full-arch cases.
Conical connection with platform switching for crestal bone preservation. Hydrophilic SPI Initio surface. Excellent prosthetic flexibility across tooth positions.
Medisave claimable · Up to $1,950 per implant
Sand-blasted, acid-etched SA surface. Tapered self-tapping design for primary stability in variable bone density. The most widely placed implant system globally by volume.
RBM (Resorbable Blast Media) surface for clean bone contact. Double-lead thread for efficient placement. Strong track record across Southeast Asian patient populations.
Medisave claimable · Out-of-pocket from $499
Korean implant systems have earned global clinical respect through extensive independent research, broad international certification, and strong performance data in Asian patient populations.
Both Osstem and Dentium hold CE, FDA 510(k) clearance, ISO 13485, and HSA registration in Singapore. For routine implant cases with adequate bone volume, Korean systems provide clinically excellent outcomes at accessible pricing when combined with Medisave.
The assumption that Korean implants are "budget" systems is a misconception — they are full clinical tools with rigorous certification and documented outcomes.
Our clinical process
Every patient case is assessed individually. Our recommendation is always grounded in your imaging, bone profile, and medical history — never a default by price tier.
A cone beam CT scan gives us a complete view of your bone density, height, width, and proximity to anatomical structures such as nerves and the sinus floor. This determines whether an implant is feasible and which system dimensions are appropriate for your jaw.
Patients with reduced bone volume or compromised density may benefit from implant surface technologies engineered for faster biological bonding. Where bone volume is adequate and anatomy is favourable, the clinical difference between premium and standard systems narrows considerably.
Narrow ridges, immediate post-extraction placement, adjacent multiple implants, and full-arch restorations introduce different mechanical considerations. Your treatment plan is designed around your anatomy — not a template.
Conditions such as diabetes, osteoporosis, or prior bone loss affect integration dynamics. Where biologic response is a clinical concern, implant surface hydrophilicity and alloy properties become part of the decision.
We never recommend the most expensive system as a reflexive signal of quality, nor the most affordable one to appear accessible. The right implant system is the one supported by your imaging and clinical profile. Every recommendation at Vera Dental begins with a 3D assessment and an honest, unhurried conversation about what your specific case requires.
Common questions
What implant brands does Vera Dental use?
We use four systems across two categories — European: Straumann (Swiss) and Anthogyr (French); Korean: Osstem and Dentium. The system recommended for your case depends on your bone anatomy, case complexity, and clinical requirements — not cost tier.
What is the difference between European and Korean dental implants?
European implants (Straumann, Anthogyr) bring decades of peer-reviewed clinical research and proprietary surface technologies. Korean implants (Osstem, Dentium) have extensive documentation and strong track records in Asian populations. Both categories can deliver reliable long-term outcomes — the right choice depends on your specific anatomy and case.
Are Korean implants as reliable as European implants?
Yes. Osstem and Dentium hold CE, FDA 510(k), ISO 13485, and HSA registration in Singapore. They are among the most widely placed implant systems globally. For many standard implant cases with adequate bone volume, Korean systems provide clinically excellent outcomes.
How does Vera Dental decide which brand to use?
Every recommendation starts with a 3D CBCT imaging assessment. Our dentist evaluates your bone density, jaw anatomy, case complexity, and medical history. The decision is always clinical — never based on price tier or brand preference.
Can I use Medisave for implants at Vera Dental?
Yes. Vera Dental is Medisave and CHAS accredited. A single implant with crown qualifies for up to $1,950 in Medisave claims. For eligible Korean implant cases, out-of-pocket cost can be from $499. European implant cases are also Medisave claimable.
Is Anthogyr related to Straumann?
Yes. Anthogyr is a French implant manufacturer (founded 1947, Sallanches) and has been part of the Straumann Group since 2012. This brings shared R&D standards and global manufacturing oversight to the Axiom® system.
Does the implant brand affect how my final crown looks?
No. The visible crown is custom-fabricated in zirconia or PFM porcelain to match your natural teeth regardless of the implant system. Brand differences relate to the buried fixture and surface technology — not the appearance of your final smile.
Is cheaper dental treatment just as good?
The quality of technique, materials, and planning directly affects how long dental work lasts. At Vera Dental, we focus on work that is built to last — because the real cost of treatment is measured over years, not at the initial appointment. We invest in the outcome, not just the procedure.
